Analyse of Magazine 3

The genre of music from this magazine is pop and i know this because the image on the magazine is Lady GaGa and she is a pop star. The target audience are young people, such as teenagers and adults.  I can tell this, because these type of people are Lady GaGa's fans.
The main image is of Lady GaGa and this relates to the genre of the music, because Lady GaGa is a pop star. She is the Queen of pop. The image is framed around the straplines and around some pink bubbles. This has a dramatic effect, because the magazine stands out. It looks professional and even though it looks girly, many boys and men will still buy this magazine no matter what the color scheme suggests. The whole of Lady GaGa's body is included and that is a good thing, because then you can see her outfit, her body, which stands out and makes the magazine look good, professional, unique and different. The bottom of Lady GaGa's feet and legs have been left out, but that is fine because if those were included then we would not be able to see Lady GaGa's hair and face. The outfit that Lady GaGa has is a bubble jumpsuit, the make up is bold, elegant and it stands out. There are however, no props. The cues that they bring are that, it looks good, warn. professional, unique, fashion, interesting and approachable. This is because of the make-up and the clothes.
The colours that have been used are pink, white and grey. Grey is in the masthead, the white is in the straplines and the pink is the background and this reflects on the bubbles. This creates the mood of the magazine to be exciting and good, because all of these colours are warm and they stand out.
The magazine is called Rollingstone and this to me reflects the target audience as being adults and teenagers, which also reflects as the content to be for these two age groups, so the content will be modern and young.
The typeface that has been used is big, bold and some of it is small. This is good as even though some of the typeface is small, it still stands out, looks professional, modern and interesting. On the masthead the typeface is big and bold and this is god, because the mast head needs to stand out and it does with this typeface.
The copy has been placed at the side of the magazine and at the top of the front cover. The size is large and small and this is very important, because if you have all of the straplines large then the magazine will look crowded and messy and that will look unprofessional, but since some of the straplines are small and some are big and that makes the magazine look neat, professional and very interesting.
